Public-nEUro

Overview

Public-nEUro is a European open-access repository for human brain imaging data, funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation and operated by the Neurobiology Research Unit (NRU) at Copenhagen University Hospital. It was developed as part of the OpenNeuro PET project, which established a two-tier data sharing model: fully open data goes to OpenNeuro under CC0, while data requiring GDPR-compliant access controls goes to Public-nEUro with a Data User Agreement. It accepts MRI, MEG, EEG, iEEG, and PET datasets in BIDS format, which is validated automatically on submission. A Data Protection Officer reviews submissions of potentially identifying data before access is granted.

Access

Deposit of fully anonymised data is free. Additional services including curation support and multi-year data administration carry fees. Embargo is supported on request. Funding runs through 2027.
