NFDI4Bioimage

Overview

NFDI4Bioimage is the NFDI thematic consortium for microscopy and bioimage analysis data, building FAIR research data management infrastructure for the German bioimaging community. Funded in the third NFDI selection round in 2023, it develops metadata standards and tools for bioimaging datasets, promotes the adoption of community file format standards including OME File Formats, and supports open image data workflows from acquisition through sharing and reuse. NFDI4Bioimage coordinates with Euro-BioImaging as Germany’s national contribution to European bioimaging infrastructure, and connects to international open bioimaging platforms including the BioImage Archive and the IDR.
