NFDI4Health
Overview
NFDI4Health is the NFDI thematic consortium for personal health data, establishing FAIR research data management infrastructure for clinical trials, epidemiological studies, and public health research in Germany. Launched in 2020 as part of the first NFDI funding round, it develops metadata schemas for health research datasets, operates a central search portal for findability across German health research studies, and coordinates with European health data infrastructure. NFDI4Health aligns with HL7 FHIR for health data interoperability and the EHDS secondary-use framework, and connects to the BBMRI-ERIC network for cross-biobank data access in Germany.
