Institut Curie
Overview
Institut Curie is one of Europe’s leading cancer research and treatment centres, combining a hospital and a research centre in Paris. It is directly relevant to the open neuroscience and bioimaging ecosystem through its PICT-IBiSA imaging platform, a founding node of France BioImaging.
PICT-IBiSA — Cell and Tissue Imaging Platform
PICT-IBiSA (Plateforme d’Imagerie Cellulaire et Tissulaire) provides 40+ microscopy systems in open access across 4 buildings, covering the full spectrum from confocal, spinning-disk, super-resolution (STED, PALM/STORM), multiphoton, light-sheet, and HCS (Biophenics) to electron microscopy and CryoEM. It has held the IBiSA label since 2008 and has been a France BioImaging member since 2011. It is a member of Euro-BioImaging ERIC, hosts the Nikon Imaging Centre at Institut Curie-CNRS, and participates in QUAREP-LiMi working groups on microscopy QC and metadata.
Image Data Management
- The Curie Image Database (CID/iManage) was developed with Strand Life Sciences, is open to all France BioImaging PICT users, and interoperates with OMERO.
- BioImageIT is an open-source framework for integration of image data management with analysis, developed in collaboration with France BioImaging and Inria.
Connections
