NRU Copenhagen — Neurobiology Research Unit

Overview

The Neurobiology Research Unit (NRU) is a neuroimaging research unit at Copenhagen University Hospital (Rigshospitalet), founded in 1994 and focused on in vivo brain imaging with an emphasis on PET neurochemistry and its relationship to psychiatric and neurological conditions. NRU originated Public-nEUro, the GDPR-compliant European open-access brain imaging repository funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation, and the OpenNeuroPET initiative, which produced the PET extension to BIDS (BEP009) and the open-source PET2BIDS conversion tool.
