France BioImaging (FBI)
Overview
France BioImaging is the French national research infrastructure for biological and biomedical imaging at the cellular and subcellular scale. It is the French national node of Euro-BioImaging ERIC.
Key Activities
France BioImaging provides open access to advanced microscopy platforms for French and European researchers via the Euro-BioImaging access programme. It promotes FAIR image data management across nodes, recommending tools such as OMERO for image storage and sharing. Image analysis support and training are provided at each node level, and the transversal BioImage Informatics node coordinates image analysis and data management infrastructure. FBI works with IFB (ELIXIR-FR) on data management interoperability, and participates in the international Global BioImaging network.
