LONI IDA — Image and Data Archive
Overview
The LONI Image and Data Archive (IDA) is a secure neuroimaging data repository operated by the USC Stevens Neuroimaging and Informatics Institute (USC INI) at the University of Southern California. Established to support large-scale multisite neuroimaging studies, it provides controlled-access storage, curation, and distribution of clinical neuroimaging and biomarker datasets. It is the primary distribution platform for ADNI and hosts a range of other open and controlled-access neuroimaging cohorts covering neurodegenerative, neurodevelopmental, and psychiatric conditions.
Hosted Studies
Beyond ADNI, the IDA hosts studies including PPMI, ABIDE (Autism Brain Imaging Data Exchange), ADHD-200, OpenPain, and a number of smaller investigator-initiated neuroimaging cohorts.
Access
Access is governed by data use agreements reviewed per study. Each hosted study maintains its own access conditions and terms. Registration on the IDA portal is required, and access to each study is requested and approved individually. There is no cost to researchers.
