ENIGMA Consortium
Overview
ENIGMA conducts coordinated neuroimaging and genetics studies across 45+ working groups and hundreds of sites using federated meta-analysis: sites share derived statistics rather than raw data, enabling population-scale power while preserving privacy.
Key Outputs
- Over 200 publications on brain structure in psychiatric and neurological disorders.
- ENIGMA Toolbox (open-source surface-based analysis).
- Harmonised MRI acquisition protocols and processing pipelines.
Selected Contributing Sites
Researchers affiliated with Paris Brain Institute appear as named authors in ENIGMA-MDD (Major Depressive Disorder), ENIGMA-STB (Suicidal Thoughts and Behaviours), and ENIGMA-TS (Tourette Syndrome) working group publications.
