OPIDoR
Overview
OPIDoR (Optimiser le PIlotage des Données de la Recherche) is the suite of research data management tools and services operated by INIST-CNRS on behalf of the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research. It is the primary data management plan (DMP) infrastructure for French publicly funded research, directly implementing the ANR Open Science Policy and Ouvrir la Science mandates.
Components
DMP OPIDoR
The national online DMP tool, built on the DMPRoadmap platform shared with DMP Online and DMPTool, and implementing the RDA maDMP standard. Its primary template is based on the Science Europe Practical Guide to Research Data Management, which ANR adopted as the basis for its own DMP requirements. It provides structured questionnaires, DMP templates for major funders (ANR, Horizon Europe), and a repository of public DMPs. ANR, CNRS, and Institut Pasteur have adopted it as their official DMP template platform. For life sciences researchers, IFB operates Data Stewardship Wizard (DSW@IFB) as a complementary discipline-specific DMP tool.
Cat OPIDoR
A catalogue of research data management services, tools, repositories, and persistent identifier resources available to French researchers. It complements Recherche Data Gouv as a discovery layer for finding appropriate deposit destinations and support services.
DORANum
The national training portal for research data management best practices, providing open educational resources on FAIR principles, DMPs, data sharing, and open science for French researchers and data stewards.
JurisDoR
A legal resources centre for research data management operated within the Recherche Data Gouv ecosystem, covering GDPR compliance for research data, intellectual property, consent frameworks, and data sharing agreements.
